How do I ensure my ceramics live a long and healthy life?
All the ceramics sold here are dishwasher and microwave-safe unless otherwise stated. However, the best way to preserve handmade pottery is by washing it by hand and storing it carefully avoiding knocking on thin rims.
Unglazed ceramics, such as the bottom of pots, are porous, and as such should not be left soaking in water for a long time.
Are your products food safe?
All products are food-safe unless otherwise stated.
Are all pieces absolutely identical to each other and to the pictures on the website?
No, they are not! You will absolutely get the item pictured on the website, but keep in mind that all handmade items have minuscular variations that make them unique - these should be expected (and, I think, embraced).
The piece I want is sold out - will you be making more?
Hard to tell! Though I endeavour to restock popular items I am subjected to clay body and glaze availability, which is not always consistent. If you fell in love with a piece that is out of stock don't hesitate to reach out via email ([email protected]) or the contact form and I will do my best!
Do you take commissions?
Yes, I do! Please get in touch via email ([email protected]) or the contact form to start a conversation about this in a timely manner (at least 4 weeks in advance of your delivery request).
Which delivery service do you use?
I use the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service for all orders within the UK (2-3 days delivery from shipping date, tracked). For international orders, please get in touch with me directly to discuss the best, most cost-effective option.
When will my order be shipped?
I aim to ship all items within 5 days of when the order was placed. Should I not be able to fulfil this for reasons beyond my control, I will get in touch with you to discuss alternatives.
Where else can I find your pieces?
I often sell my pieces at markets and craft fairs - follow me on Instagram or sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date about future dates.
A small selection of my pots is also stocked at the lovely Fergie's Gifts in Loughborough.
Upcoming markets:
- Crafty Fox Market at the Crossing in King's Cross, Saturday 12th April 2025
- Ceramicists' Mart at Abney Hall in Stoke Newington, Sunday 13th April 2025
Can I get a refund?
All orders are final but can be edited if you get in touch immediately after placing the order, before the item is sent out. All pieces are packaged with extreme care but in the eventuality of the order reaching you damaged, I will replace it or offer you a refund if you can send a picture of the item, box, packaging, and postage labels within 48 hours of receiving it.
How are the items packaged?
All items are packaged with an abundance of upcycled packaging material (packaging chips, paper, bubble wrap) entirely coming from deliveries received at my day job.
Pottery seems really cool - should I give it a go?
Absolutely! Pottery is great for mental health and creativity. Wheel throwing can be an initially frustrating, but ultimately cathartic and grounding practice, which will teach you a lot about yourself! Get off the internet and go book yourself a class!!
