My name is Alice and I make pottery.
While I am based in London, I am originally from Italy. I first tried ceramics in 2013 while in high school and immediately fell in love with the craft. After a long break, I picked it up again in 2021 while pursuing a PhD in molecular biology.
Since then, I attended courses, practised independently at member studios, and even taught ceramics to beginners. I am currently a member at Stable Yard Pottery in Wood Green and a teacher at Boso Studio in Hackney.
All the ceramics you find on this website are unique, designed and handmade by me. I mostly make wheel-thrown stoneware tableware, including the infamous farfalle pasta mug - now a registered design!
The ethos motivating my making is as much aesthetic as it is political. I believe that by choosing to surround ourselves with objects lovingly handcrafted by independent makers shapes economies that are local and sustainable. In a world burdened by overconsumption and on the brink of climate collapse shopping less but doing it more consciously is a radical choice that helps build a better tomorrow.
Pottery is a huge source of happiness, grounding, and comfort to me, and I hope that the pieces I make bring you as much joy in using them as they brought me in making them.
I regularly sell my work at markets and craft fairs, all the details of which I share on my Instagram and newsletter. In 2024, I was honoured to be selected for the Mayor of London "London Made Me" Retail Development Programme, which gave me the opportunity to sell my pots alongside 11 other incredibly talented makers at the iconic Battersea Power Station.
